A woman has revealed her incredible weight loss journey after her divorce.
When her marriage ended, Kirsten Aisbett, 30, found herself tipping the scales at 14st.
Before her transformation, she gorged on KFC for lunch and frozen chips, chicken Kievs and lasagne for dinner.
She began suffering from crippling anxiety which she was then prescribed with antidepressants by her GP.
Then one day, realising that something had to change, Kristen, from Australia, decided to take control of her body.
The weight began to slide off when her friend ran an all-girl bootcamp which she attended three to four times a week.
She told That's Life : "I’d gorge on KFC for lunch and too tired after working to cook, I’d heat up frozen chips, chicken Kievs and lasagne.
"And suddenly single, I was crippled with anxiety. A black cloud of depression overwhelmed me.
"One day I was pushing a trolley down the supermarket aisle, when all of sudden my chest tightened.
"Now even though my social anxiety was at an all-time high, the thought of being alone was unbearable.
"The GP diagnosed me with severe anxiety and depression and I was prescribed antidepressants."
She started by attending her friend's bootcamp, then after she swapped the calorific meals for rice, beef mince and vegetables.
Soon after she noticed she was starting to lose that weight again and her confidence soon returned.
Kristen, who has her own Instagram dedicated to her journey, added: "I still let go at the weekends, treating myself to nice dinners out.
"But finally, I was feeling comfy in my own skin again."
She started working with a personal trainer and within three years, she dropped down from a size 14-16 to 10-12.
After Kristen dropped an incredible 4st, she noticed the pictures on the wall of people who competed in bodybuilding competitions.
She said: "I could never do that, I thought. But then I backed myself."
The slimmer started to cut out alcohol completely and carefully prepped her meals on the weekend.
Each morning she would wake up at 4:30am to complete 45 minutes of cardio before work, then an another hour and a half after.
Before it was bedtime, Kristen managed to do a whopping 20,000 steps.
At the point of her show, Kristen lost another 2st to make it 6st in total.
She revealed: "Before I'd been too ashamed to even wear a swimsuit that showed my stretch mark streaked belly.
"Now I was on stage with my proud mum and dad in the crowd wearing a bikini. Striking the poses I'd been taught.
"Waiting for the winners to be announced I was just proud to have competed.
"I’m not going to place, I thought, as third, and second place was read out. As the winner was announced, I couldn't believe it."
Now four years after her break-up, Kristen transformed herself to feel ever so proud of herself.
She continued: "It didn’t happen overnight, but I’ve transformed myself.
"Catching sight of myself in the mirror, I’m proud of how I look.
"I’m even prouder of how I feel.
"But, happily single, I’m not looking for a relationship. And I didn’t overhaul myself for anyone else."
