How can you know if a woman is into you or not?

According to Jana Hocking, there are eight tell-tale signs that a singleton is giving you the eye.

The radio host, who often talks about dating topics, highlighted “fidgeting” as the main giveaway.

This may be awkwardly playing around with clothes or twirling hair around fingers in a flirtatious manner.

Being giggly, making eye contact and being more touchy feely than usual are also positive signs.

And if they start talking about your interests a lot, you really are in for a winner!

Jana says women flirt by playing with their hair and through other body language too

Here are eight signs a woman is into you, as revealed by Jana Hocking in her news.com.au column.

1. Playing with her hair

Jana warns men to look for ladies who “fix their hair as soon as you walk into the room”.

As many women see their barnets as their “pride and joy”, they want to highlight them to the opposite sex as much as possible.

2. Laughing a lot

Has your crush got a serious case of the giggles?

Jana admitted: “We laugh a ridiculous amount. Often at things that aren’t that funny.

“Energy feeds on energy, and when your heart is getting all fluttery, you tend to overemphasise reactions.”

Laughing a lot is a good sign, Jana says

3. Enthusiastic greetings

Take note of whether or not women pull away or go in for an embrace when they meet up with you.

Greeting with a hug or kiss is a positive sign.

Jana said: “Any excuse to touch is usually a sure-fire sign we’re into you.”

4. Eye contact

If you’re in a packed room but keep meeting eyes then there’s probably a connection there.

Jana explained: “When we’re interested in a bloke we want to know if they are looking at us the same way as we are them.

“We also unintentionally want to keep tabs on where you are.”

Jana says people usually try to catch a glimpse of those who they fancy

5. Fiddling

Doing this apparently “distracts us from nervous excitement” when crushes are around.

Jana said: “When a crush is around, we tend to check our top is done up properly, our necklace is sitting where it should, our boobs aren’t looking saggy, and our skirt is smooth.

“We give ourselves a quick once over.”

6. Playing the damsel in distress

Sometimes women pretend to need help with things they already know how to do.

Jana admits: “We’ll do anything for an extra five minutes of attention.”

Jana says women who are interested will often try to find common ground with hobbies

7. Pretending to like your hobbies

If your crush starts reading books you like, or sharing your music and TV tastes, it’s a good sign.

Doing this helps you to build “an instant connection with someone”.

You’ll have lots to talk about too!

8. Tagging you in posts on social media

It shows you’re on their mind.

The silly social media memes are also a good way to gage someone’s sense of humour.

And they imply your crush wants to have a joke with you too!
