A German shepherd who is apparently terrified of hyperactive puppies was caught on video backing away from a noisy brood of young corgis.
In the funny clip, which went viral on the Chinese video-sharing app Douyin, the German shepherd, called Happy, is walking on a leash with her owner when a group of corgi puppies surround them.
Looking delighted to find an oversized playmate, the puppies quickly encircle the dog and yap at her incessantly.
Poor Happy looks shocked and overwhelmed by the sudden noise and backs away from the puppies, who seem to think it's a fantastic game and chase her around the road.
The dog even tries to hide behind the legs of her owner, Ms Wang, who told Mail Online her dog has always been "timid" and is also very well-trained.
She added: "Ever since she was a puppy, I always taught her to not be hostile towards others.
"I thought the Corgis were really cute.
"I was glad to see that Happy did not attack them and kept trying to avoid them."
Unsurprisingly, dog lovers who watched the footage also thought Happy was very sweet in how she dealt with the unwanted attention from the puppies.
One viewer wrote: "What a kind-hearted dog.
"She was running away to avoid stepping on the puppies."
A second fan, who had more praise for Happy, commented: "The German shepherd was being so gentle to them.
"She didn't make any sounds so that she wouldn't scare them off.
"They are all so adorable."
In another cute video, an owner tested her German shepherd's reaction to being petted and then suddenly left alone, with viewers left howling at the result.
Meanwhile, another German shepherd was caught glaring at the family's new puppy in footage that left people in stitches.
