Police, paramedics and bomb disposal unit are at the scene of an incident in south Manchester.
Officers descended on Wilmslow Road in Fallowfield and residents have been evacuated from their flats, reports Manchester Evening News.
Several Greater Manchester Manchester Police cars are at the scene, as well as ambulances.
A large cordon has been erected and officers have confirmed suspicious items have been found.
A statement from the force reads: "Police are in attendance at a property on Wilmslow Road, Fallowfield, following the discovery of suspicious items within the property.
"A property has been evacuated as a precaution while enquiries are ongoing.
"Bomb disposal are due to make an assessment of items found within the property.
"This is believed to be an isolated incident and there is not believed to be any wider threat."
Officers were spotted shortly after 10pm, including ambulances and incident response units, and a bomb disposal unit arrived shortly after 12.15am.
The fire service is also present, with reporters claiming GMP riot vans arrived earlier on in the evening.
A cordon was erected at 11.30pm between the shell petrol station on Wilmslow Road and Victoria Road, it was later extended to cover the area between Derby Road and the petrol station.
According to MEN, there is approximately five police cars, two riot vans, two incident response units from North West Ambulance Service and an officer from the fire service.
