A source reportedly close to the brothers says they will avoid watching the latest series which depicts the breakdown of their parents' marriage.
The Netflix hit's writers insist it is a fictional drama based loosely on true events, but a reported sources say it may still be too much for the brothers.
“Harry has seen the trailers for series four but I can’t see him watching it,” says a source close to the former senior royal told VanityFair.
A reported friend of Prince William also told the publication: "The feeling is that the latest series would actually be quite sad for them to watch."
They also said the Duke of Cambridge has "no desire" to watch the fictitious depiction of his parents' failed marriage.
Season four of The Crown follows through the relationship between Prince Charles and wife Camilla, who he married after Diana's death.
It also look at Diana's struggle with an eating disorder throughout her time at the palace.
However, Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, is not fussed about how she is portrayed, it has been alleged.
A friend is reported to have said: “I imagine she’ll be tuning in with a glass of red wine to watch it, she has seen the previous series.
“She has a wonderful sense of humour and this won’t fuss her in the slightest."
