A paranoid shopper fearing she could be infected by coronavirus decided to wear a full-body plastic tube in a bizarre video.
The woman is filmed walking in a supermarket with a straw hat with a long white cloth all around.
She is seen paying at the cashier before leaving with her trolley in tow.
A local resident running errands in the same supermarket spotted the bizarre sight and recorded the individual on her phone.
The outfit was compared to that of a Chinese warrior – dressed with a cape and carried a long sword – that appeared in television dramas.
She is believed to have been wearing a surgical mask but reportedly wanted to ensure that she would be free of contamination by the time she reached home.
Social media users have called the woman’s outfit "overkill", but others supported her choice to ensure she is coronavirus-free.
The deadly outbreak started in Wuhan in Central China’s Hubei Province has so far claimed the lives of 563 people in mainland China, while there are also two confirmed cases in Hong Kong and the Philippines respectively.
Now declared a Public Health Emergency of International Concern by the World Health Organisation, the number of infected has reached 28,290 worldwide.
The UK has a third case of coronavirus infection as of today, the Department of Health has confirmed.
In a statement the Chief Medical Officer said: "The patient is being transferred to a specialist NHS centre, and we are using robust infection control measures to prevent any possible further spread of the virus.
"The NHS is well prepared to manage these cases and we are now working quickly to identify any contacts the patient has had."
