A man is fearing his arms and legs will have to be amputated after drunkenly falling asleep outside his home after a party.
The man, whose name has not been revealed, went out for drinks with his friends in the city of Dalian in Liaoning, China, on Sunday, January 3.
According to local media, his family found him sleeping outside their apartment building the next morning and believed that he suffered frostbite after being exposed to freezing temperatures.
They sent him to a nearby hospital where doctors assessed his injuries.
Footage shared on Chinese social media shows the man lying on a stretcher, struggling to move his hands and legs.
A woman, who is believed to be the man's wife, can be heard crying: "I was so scared. What to do now? Is he going to be okay?
"He was just lying outside the building by the door and not moving!"
The doctors remove the socks and touch the man's pale-looking feet, with one of them saying: "They are all frozen, it's colder than an ice lolly.
"It's not looking good. Both feet."
They ask the patient to open his eyes while they examine his abdomen areas.
A doctor is heard saying: "The legs, can't keep the legs ... the hands as well."
It is believed that the man will have to undergo an amputation operation due to the serious frostbite.
The clip has been seen more than 112,000 times. One viewer said: "He was so close to home. If I were his friend, I wouldn't just leave him to walk home alone."
Another wrote: "The legs are gone, I hope the doctors can save his arms."
"This happened every year," a third commented. "Don't they learn the lesson?"
