A vile rapist abducted and sexually assaulted his neighbour’s four-year-old daughter in a ditch – leaving her with infected organs and devastating injuries.
The 54-year-old, identified only by his surname Liu, took the girl from her home in Harbin, China, back in August after going round to his neighbours’ to ask for a drink.
On August 30, he brought the child back to the house covered in bruises and bloodstains, MailOnline reports.
She was rushed to an intensive care unit after being diagnosed with infections and Liu was detained by police.
The victim's dad told China News on Tuesday, December 1: “All of her organs have been infected and damaged. She is also suffering from kidney failure.”
The victim is currently in a critical condition.
During a police interrogation, Liu confessed he had sexually assaulted and raped the child in a drainage ditch, according to a court report.
He was sentenced to death by the Intermediate People's Court of Harbin.
Liu previously served jail sentences for murder and rape.
Arzoo Raja was reportedly taken from her home in Karachi on October 13, and two days later her “husband” Ali Azhar produced a marriage certificate saying she was 18 and had converted to his religion.
A court later ruled that she should remain a government shelter home until she turns 18.
On November 9, the High Court in the province of Sindh declared that Arzoo was a minor and that her marriage to Azhar violated the Sindh Child Marriage Restraint Act, according to NHO International Christian Concern.
Criminal charges against Azhar were dismissed.
However, Jibran Nasir, the family’s attorney, told the Morning Star News: “ I believe it is a good verdict, because the court has not quashed the FIR (first information request) registered by Arzoo’s father and statutory rape of a minor has been added to it, a crime punishable with life imprisonment or death sentence.”
He added: “Please understand that Arzoo is reluctant to live with her parents because of the consistent brainwashing done by the accused and certain community activists for ulterior motives.”
