A lovely dog has been filmed doing his absolute best to run away from water as much as he can during a day trip to the beach.
In one video viewed more than 1.1 million times, Chester joins his furry friends at the dog-friendly Huntington Dog Beach in California, US, for a fun day out.
While trotting along the beach with his owner along the stretch of sand, Chester jumps about as the waves hit the shore.
He instantly lifts up his paws and runs away from the water.
The water-shy pooch quickly backs up to the shore as soon as he sees the water reaching his legs.
In another segment, Chester is seen having a catch-up with his canine friends as the waves close in on him.
The dramatic dog jumps and runs away as the cold water touches his hind legs.
Viewers joked Chester was trying to protest his fur from getting wet.
"Don't mess up the fluff!" one said. Another wrote: "Has to protect his majestic fur! How adorable!"
His owner exclusively told Daily Star Online that Chester gets nervous when he sees unfamiliar things.
She said: "I think it's because he's not very used to the ocean and out of place things sometimes make him nervous (like some lawn holiday decorations).
"We also took him swimming for the first time a little late in his puppy life. He was already pretty big at that point and it wasn't easy to pick him up or get him into the water."
Chester is also scared of gardeners and their leaf blowers as well as tiny items like hairdryers and nail clippers, she added.
Recalling the first swimming lesson, Chester's mum said: "He had to get carried in at the beginning, but by the end he was going in on his own without a life vest!
"He still has to work on his technique a bit because his butt tends to sink without the life vest, making it harder for him to paddle, but he's making such great progress.
"He also still gets a bit nervous for the first couple of approaches to the water each time we go back, but we're working on his water confidence."
