A dopey burglar was well and truly "caught in the act" by a stunned homeowner.
The desperate crook was found on the loo after he was caught short mid raid.
A sleepy resident opened her toilet door to find a thief sitting happily on the bog with his trousers around his ankles.
He’d made himself at home and even had a freshly brewed mug of coffee.
She could out watch in stunned silence as he dressed himself, walked back into the living room and gathered his stolen items.
He then climbed out a window and into the night in Windeck, Germany.
The ordeal was captured on CCTV cameras, which filmed the cat burglar searching the home.
Online commentators noted that the trousers he had on, which might have been stolen in another raid, clearly did not fit properly as his undies appear to be on show.
After bagging up everything he wanted to take, he then decided to have a cup of coffee and use the toilet.
The woman homeowner, identified only by her first name Olesja, age 36, said she was left speechless when she opened the door and found a strange man sitting in the loo drinking coffee.
She did not even have time to call her husband, Steffen, who was still sleeping upstairs.
Police have appealed for help in tracking down the man described as being between 25 to 30 years old, around 1.75 metres tall, and who had a North African appearance with dark hair and a dark complexion. He was wearing Adidas trainers.
Steffen, 39, believes he later bumped into the unknown man at the train station on his way back from work.
He suspected that the man was looking for a fresh target and after calling his wife, who also confirmed that it seemed to be the same man, they raised the alarm with police.
However, the man again managed to escape before he could be collared.
The investigation continues.
