It’s that time of year again.
The spiders are getting bigger and braver and showing up in the nooks of our homes.
Plus, thanks to the warmer weather this year, spiders have begun to venture out earlier.
Considering most of us aren’t fans of the creepy crawlies, shrieks, squeals and complaints often accompany them.
Some Brits are hardcore – they’ll easily kill or catch an arachnid.
While others squeamishly reach for a cup and paper.
For those who are less bug-friendly, but don’t want to squash them, there is a solution.
Aldi is re-launching its spider catcher.
The device allows you to gently pick up the creatures from a safe distance and deposit them well away from the house.
It uses a soft brush head which traps the eight-legged creepy crawly within the hairs.
Then, you squeeze the handle to keep it there, walk outside and release it safely.
Which is a good thing, as spiders are an important part of our ecosystem.
The spider catcher is 60cm long, so you’re well away from the insect.
Plus, you can reach into high places like ceilings and curtain rods.
The product is gentle enough to be used to get rid of moths, butterflies and other crawling critters.
Last year, the spider catching was a hit.
And, now it will return on August 27 in-store and August 23 online.
It costs just £7.99 – although you’ll need to add on £2.95 for delivery if you spend less than £30.
You can use the handy Store Locator tool to find your nearest Aldi branch if you’d prefer to buy in-store.
