A British-born model has taken the Miss Hong Kong 2020 crown.

Lisa Marie Tse, who was born in Scotland, scooped the main prize along with the ‘Miss Photogenic’ title.

The 25-year-old’s mum hails from the UK, while her dad was born in Hong Kong.

Despite her lack of fluency in Cantonese, the English-speaking model proved to be the best-loved contestant.

She won over the audience’s heart with a performance of the Chinese song Shanghai Tang.

Her kind personality and humanitarian values, which stem from working as a nurse in a Scottish hospital, is probably another reason why she won judges over.

“Thank you my family, supporters, my nominator and all at TVB (a television company).

“The past few weeks have been the most hectic, but amazing weeks of my life.

“I have learned so much, grown as a person and really couldn’t have done this without your support. I am still in complete shock!”
