A couple were blasted for picking a “demeaning” wedding cake for their big day.
The celebration dessert is decorated with unusual cake toppers.
It depicts a worried looking groom being dragged along by his bride.
The fondant figure is surrounded by Xbox games, a packet of crisps and cans of energy drinks.
It’s likely the pair were trying to make a joke about starting a new life together and leaving distractions behind them.
But unfortunately for them, wedding shamers thought the cake was a bit sexist.
On Reddit’s Wedding Shaming forum, commenters shared their dislike for the cake.
One wrote: “I really don’t like these ‘drag you to the altar’ stuff.
“Women can and do enjoy video games, it shouldn’t look like an ultimatum for love.
“And even if she doesn’t like games, it shouldn’t bother her if he does play them.
“This is a demeaning cake topper.”
Another agreed: “It just screams that the bride has some abandonment issues that she's trying to joke about.
“Almost everyone plays or has played a videogame in adulthood. It's always been that way.”
And a third added: “I hate this kind of thing. It's supposed to be a happy day full of love, not this.”
Others said they’d prefer the cake if it showed the bride and groom gaming together.
A Redditor said: “This could have been so cute.
“Imagine the two of them cuddled up together with controllers in their hands, unlocking that marriage achievement together with blissful, celebratory looks on their faces. It would be perfect for a couple of gamers.”
And another admitted: “If the bride was also playing in the I would definitely say this would have been my wedding cake.
“I love the concept besides him being dragged away.”
While many were critical of the wedding cake, others saw nothing wrong with it.
A Reddit user asked: “Does no one have a sense of humour anymore? I think these toppers are fun and silly!”
