Since it was launched in 2005, Google Maps has become one of the best apps for offering real-time traffic conditions.
It also helps people to navigate around the world to visit far-flung destinations from the comfort of their homes.
And in recent years, the street view tool has been there to spot the most questionable mysteries.
Posting on the open forum, the uploader shared a photo of the eerie image that was spotted in the Dominican Republic.
Do you think you've spotted an UFO on Google Maps before? Tell us your experiences in the comments...
It shows a bright light on the top of a residential area in the region which is surrounded by houses.
The colour is white then radiates a green and yellow light from the side of it.
One commented: "I thought it was a plane, but if you look around the town there are a few more."
So could it really be a UFO sighting?
The shape has been spotted on a number of occasions around the same town.
And while some might suggest that it's a coincidence, it's actually not.
The light has been caused due to the Google app facing some trouble.
It appears that it could be a bright light reflection bouncing off the conservatory glass roof.
Another suggested: "So corrugated zinc roofing is very common in the DR and when it's relatively new, it is very shiny and reflective.
"It does oxidise to a reddish colour which isn't as shiny. I believe oxidation is good here because it creates a protective layer.
"This is why you may see a lot of flashes like this from satellite view maps of DR."
And the theory could be true as we've spotted a similar incident before.
Previously, Google Maps users sparked a debate after discovering an "alien abduction" in a British countryside location.
Posting on Reddit, the user said: "An alien abduction in progress?
"What is this mark above this house?"
The object appears to have UFO-like features, but again it could be down to a bright light reflection.
