The subscription-based streaming giant is increasing its price in February with the standard package rising from £8.99 per month to £9.99.
Premium subscription price will jump from £11.99 per month to £13.99 per month.
Speaking on his ITV show yesterday (January 7), the Money Saving Expert revealed you can beat the price increase by simply changing your package.
He said: "Check now what package you are on. You may be able to downgrade.
"The basic package, which is £5.99 a month, you can only use one device at a time but SD (standard definition) not HD (high definition).
"If you're watching it on your mobile or tablet, that won't make much difference."
Martin also suggested families with multiple accounts cancel their memberships down to only one account and upgrade it to the premium package.
"You can get four devices at £13.99 a month, which is cheaper than multiple memberships," he explained.
The financial whizz then said there was a way to watch Netflix shows for free.
He continued: "What you may also not know about Netflix is you can go to netflix.com/watch-free, and it has some of its show which is available for free.
"You don't have to pay. Shows like Stranger Things, Our Planet ... Not that many of them but it's worth checking out."
Netflix stated on the website: "Netflix offers a selection of TV programmes and films to watch free, allowing you to experience some of our amazing content.
"Visit netflix.com/watch-free to see what is available to watch free. You don’t have to sign up or register.
"The selection may change from time to time, so watch now."
