Percy Pigs are undoubtedly one of the most popular Marks & Spencer products around, so it’s no wonder the store promotes the sugary sweets as much as possible.
But a new advert, shared on its new TikTok page, has not quite gone down as well as hoped.
It shows dozens of cuddly Percy Pig toys sitting in the “boardroom” with various packets of sweets lying on the table.
At the front of the room, a fully-grown Percy Pig is presenting a slideshow as some unsettling music plays in the background.
The clip was posted to advertise the new cuddly toys now being available in stores to buy.
But, having been seen more than 200,000 times in a matter of days, responses have been varied to say the least.
“Why would Percy pigs be eating other Percy Pigs…they have bags of them on the table…monsters,” one wrote.
Another asked: “Do they get beheaded, shrunk, and packaged up to sell to children?”
A third said: “Good Christ, it’s Animal Farm on acid... who thought this was a wise idea?”
Someone else called the scenes “genuinely horrifying” while one tweet, which received 7,000 likes, said it was the “most unsettling thing I’ve ever seen”.
There was some positive feedback, though.
“I’m 100% asking for this for Christmas,” one wrote. Another commented: “Why did I enjoy this so much.”
It comes as M&S have started selling a Percy Pig advent calendar which costs shoppers just £5.
Inside there are compartments filled with chocolates and to make things even better, each calendar comes with a bag of Percy Pigs too.
