Scores of British kids are going back to school this week.
Parents have been celebrating having quiet houses for the first time in months – but for Sue Radford, it’s been an emotional day.
The mum of Britain’s biggest family sent her four-year-old daughter Phoebe in for her first day this morning.
She took to Twitter to share a picture of the milestone moment, writing: “Oh my goodness. And just like that, Phoebe’s off to school.
“#ImNotCryingYou’reCrying #FirstDayofSchool #Emotional.”
The post has racked up 4,000 likes in just 15 minutes – and many wished Phoebe good luck on her first day.
One commenter remarked: “That has flown by so quickly!
“Have a lovely first day Phoebe. She looks so grown up.”
Another said: “Awww bless her! She looks so excited and grown up.”
A third wrote: “Have an amazing day sweetie!”
And a fourth added: “Aww so sweet. I hope she has the best first day at school today.”
Sue and Noel Radford live in Morecambe, Lancashire.
The couple have 22 children – so it’s not the first time they’ve reached this emotional milestone.
