A mummy blogger shared a powerful snap of herself naked after being told she had let herself go.

Laura Mazza, a mum-of-three from Australia, often speaks about her parenting journey on social media.

This can sometimes lead to negative comments – and the social media star hit back at a troll who criticised her appearance recently.

Posting on Facebook, Laura confessed: "I was told recently that I had let myself go."

But instead of covering up, she decided to embrace her body while urging other women to do the same.

The influencer added: "I've gained some weight, my eyebrows are shaggy, got a couple of chin hairs. And so it goes, I've let myself go."

Laura, who boasts 35,200 followers on Instagram, continued: "It's just like after I, and many other women, put on weight during pregnancy, don't 'bounce back' we are labelled as letting ourselves go."

She also pointed out the stereotypes and comments she often comes across under her posts.

The mum revealed: "As soon as a woman is considered as having let herself go, anything she does in that current state of 'letting herself go' doesn't count.

"Me for example, talking about depression with unplucked eyebrows means what I say doesn't have merit. A woman who has given birth 18 months ago without having a washboard stomach must be lazy and anything she says about health isn't true."

Laura also commented on the standards society expects of women, claiming "we're not meant to show ourselves in any other state other than perfect".

She said: "No one is meant to know what getting dressed up, applying make-up, fixing your wrinkles, exercising, lip filler, getting your nails done, shaving your legs – all of that is work.

"When we do that, we appear normal. When we don't, we've let ourselves go."

The mum also urged others to look and wear what they want, saying "you don't have to wear the most flattering outfit to be beautiful".

Laura, who said she didn't owe anyone anything, claims she's simply "embracing and letting herself be".

She added: "So wear the sweatpants, the yoga pants and the trackies and let yourself go! Let yourself go of all society's expectations.

"Your beauty is defined in you."

Since she shared the post, it secured thousands of likes and comments with mums praising her attitude.
