Need to get rid of cooking grease?
Pouring it into a bottle can be a no-no if you’ve got unsteady hands.
So you’ll probably be pleased to know there’s an easier way to get the job done.
On Facebook, a mum revealed how she uses a sheet of tin foil to catch the grease.
She lays it over her sink plughole, before pouring the fatty fluid into it and letting it set.
The savvy woman can then chuck the solidified grease and tin foil straight into the bin – ensuring none of the liquid goes into her drains and blocks them.
On Facebook’s Mums Who Clean group, a woman wrote: “Thought this was a pretty good idea.
“I usually tip it into an empty bottle and throw it in the bin but this is easier than searching around for an empty bottle.”
The post racked up 2,000 likes and hundreds of positive comments.
One responder wrote: “Genius!!! I currently have a cup full of fat... I wish I had seen this before I poured it straight into the cup!”
Another asked: “Why hadn’t I thought of this before?”
A third remarked: “My life is changed forever!”
And a fourth added: “Great tip – thank you for sharing.”
Others posted their suggestions for getting rid of leftover grease.
Some keep the fat in mugs and use it to cook vegetables in in the future.
Meanwhile, others store it in mason jars or old butter containers.
