The new year is bringing with it all manner of new things…
And, Pizza Hut has its own divisive product to share with the world.
The pizza company has launched a new “Nothing But Stuffed Crust” menu option.
And, just as the name implies, it’s actually a stuffed crust… without any pizza in the middle.
The stuffed crust itself, which layers cheesy goodness within the dough, launched 25 years ago in 1995.
So, the bizarre item is on offer in honour of its anniversary.
George Felix, chief marketing officer at Pizza Hut, said: “The Original Stuffed Crust pizza was a game changer 25 years ago, and while there have been many imitators, nothing beats Original Stuffed Crust from Pizza Hut."
Would you buy this odd menu item? Tell us in the comments...
He continued: “In fact, over the years, we’ve had fans ask us if they could order just the stuffed crust by itself because it’s that good.”
Pizza Hut has decried the new launch as a “literal ring of golden-brown crust baked to perfection with cheesy goodness inside.”
And, we suppose it’s great for dipping into sauces!
Unfortunately, it seems that of now the stuffed crust is only available in the United States – in Los Angeles and Dallas/Fort Worth.
News of the crust offering sent social media users wild – and divided Pizza Hut lovers,
One person on Twitter said: “This is kind of a dream come true, @pizzahut.
“Sometimes all I wanted was the stuffed crust and now I can have just that.”
While another added: “Why not roll out that “Nothing But Stuffed Crust” pizza to the entire US!?
“Why you tease Pizza Hut?”
Don’t forget about the UK!
We wan’t it too!
