A mum has become a viral sensation for her incredibly simple way to make sure mince is evenly cooked.

Ami, from New South Wales in Australia, shared the clip to Facebook group Hunter Mums where it has been seen hundreds of times.

In the clip, she uses a whisk to perfectly distribute the mince in the pan.

As well as spreading the meat out, the kitchen utensil also helps to break the meat up into small chunks.

“If anyone cooks mince as much as I do, you're welcome [for this trick],” she wrote.

And viewers were hugely impressed with the neat cooking hack.

One woman said: “This is my favourite hack, so easy and works perfectly every time.”

Another added: “OMG!!!! I have never ever thought of this. You are amazing.”

Others suggested using potato mashers, saying they have the same effect as the spatula.

It is not the only cooking hack to have proven hugely popular in recent weeks.

Saturday Morning Kitchen chef James Martin recently revealed how you can use an OXO cube to add delicious flavour to your steak.

He said he often sprinkles the meat with powder from a beef OXO cube to add a savoury edge to the meal.

Meanwhile, another mum has said her 85p cooking hack guarantees to make your roast potatoes as crispy as possible.

Vicki posted the secret trick on a Mums Who Clean, where she said the crucial ingredient is some French Onion dry soup mix.

And Jamie Oliver recently shared another hack that reduces food waste and adds instant flavour.
