Brian Blessed has told how he would love to take on Russian President Vladamir Putin in a fight.

Britain's favourite loudmouth actor, 83, told how he met Vladamir while he was doing astronaut training in Russia in an interview with the Daily Star.

The loudmouth Flash Gordon star, who completed more than 800 hours of space training, claimed he is eyeing up Putin for a brawl and he's convinced he'd win.

The Flash Gordon actor said: "He came in and watched me when I was in the centrifuge in Russia [space flight simulator] . I always wanted to maybe challenge him on judo because me being a black belt even though I am 83 would take him apart – I would love to take him on.

"He is a really charming guy but he's a tough b*****d, physically tough he watched me do all my space training."

Brian is the number one civilian on the waiting list to visit the International Space Station.

The burly actor, 83, also told of his dislike of Donald Trump and admiration of Boris Johnson after beating Covid-19.

He said: "Boris Johnson, I met him. I can only kind of relate to what I know.

"I think two years ago we did all that work together on the poppies, went from station to station, all over the country, all over London, sell poppies for the great poppy appeal. And we're not physically dissimilar, we vowed to climb Mount Everest together.

"What I feel about Boris Johnson, he's no slouch. He doesn't like all this negative stuff, he's got guts, he's got drive.

"He nearly died the guy. He had it badly and he behaved with grace and passion and made it creative to help other people not like that t*t Trump – he should be bottled and thrown into some bloody volcano or be s*****d sideways by some universal dinosaur.

"I think Trump is an absolute a*****e. How can America have so many gifted people and have a bloody president like that."

Brian also told how he wanted to put all politicians on a Scottish mountain where a giant would terrify them.

He said: "I'll tell you this about Scotland, it's God's country. You want to get over some of the politicians.

"As a mountaineer who has been up Everest and all of that I want to take them up Ben Macdui in the Cairngorms where there is a giant there who is 12 and a half 15 feet high who appears now and again and scares the s**t out of mountaineers.

"I want to take all the politicians and take them up there. Full of doom and gloom all the time. Shut up! The world is much more cheerful – much better than that."
