Dancing On Ice's Joe-Warren Plant hasn't had the easiest of rides so far and it seems he's at risk of ruining his relationship by spending extra hours on the ice with his pro-partner Vanessa Bauer.

The Emmerdale actor, who plays Jacob Gallagher in the ITV soap, has been working double-hard after an old injury resurfaced, forcing him to miss crucial rehearsal time.

However, the 18 year old's commitment has reportedly caused a number issues at home, leading to a number of rows with girlfriend Nicole Hadlow.

Things seemed to get heated recently when Nicole decided to delete a series of pictures of the pair together from her Instagram account.

In spite of his girlfriend's public outburst, Joe remains defiant that he can win her back and is hopeful that extra time together over Christmas will help to get things back on track.

An insider told The Sun that the pair had argued a lot over the last few weeks, with time spent with Vanessa being at the crux of all of the rows.

The source explained: "Joe and Nicole have had a series of rows in recent weeks.

"He's been spending hours on the ice with Vanessa and the trainers and it has been tough on them.

"Joe is mad for Nicole and obviously wants to make this work but it has been tough."

The Daily Star has contacted reps for Joe and Vanessa for comment.

Vanessa has certainly made her mark on the ice skating competition since joining the team of professionals in 2018.

In her first ever series, she took home the winners trophy, alongside singer Jake Quickenden and became a runner-up two years on the trot with Diversity's Perri Kiely and Love Island's Wes Nelson.

Back in 2019, the German-born skater found herself caught up in a huge love triangle saga with Megan Barton-Hanson.

The former stripper claimed that Vanessa had strategically ended things with her boyfriend on the first evening of the Dancing On Ice heats, in a bid to get in the press.

With the green-eyed monster taking over, Megan couldn't hide her fury as she took to social media to rant.

She penned: "You've never reached out to me once or invited me to watch you train, it pained you to introduce yourself to me last night, you didn't even look me in the eye LOL.

"Hope the tactical breakup got you the headlines you wanted babe. @wesnelson."
