The 60-year-old television presenter admitted that her favourite part of a showbiz event is when she grabs a takeaway, goes home with Eamonn and they talk about the famous faces they've met earlier that night.
Speaking to Kate Thornton on the White Wine Question Time podcast via The Mirror, Ruth said: "After award ceremonies, Eamonn and I end up in a kebab shop, or a drive-through McDonald’s, as they never feed you at those events.
"I always have to go in my finery. I'm in my long frock and say, 'Chicken kebab and chips, please.'
"The best part of the night is when we get home and sit and slag everybody off."
She added: "It's like we can go to a dinner party, we can go where we don’t know people that well. We do that ‘Great to meet you, lovely.'
"Then we get in the car and [Eamonn] will go, 'That guy, what a t****r,' and I'm like 'Couldn’t stand him.'"
Ruth went on to reveal that she was forced to stand up to a sexist colleague when she worked as a transmission worker back in the day.
She said: “I used to make 12 mugs of tea at 9am and 11am.
"I remember taking this tea around and a guy pinched my a**e.
"I literally put the tray down, slammed his tea down so it slopped and said, 'If you ever touch me again I will break your f***ing arm.'"
It comes after Ruth warned she'll always come out fighting on her man's behalf when he's targeted by keyboard warriors.
She told her followers: "I love Instagram. I stalk people as much as the next person.
"I get such amazing messages and the odd troll who I just ignore.
"Well unless they say anything vile about Eamonn and then I can’t hold back."
Loose Women's Ruth recently credited her 23-year relationship with Eamonn for a lot of what she’s achieved in her career and the connection she’s developed with the This Morning viewers watching at home.
She told The Sun: "Obviously we hold some things back, but we discuss a lot about our lives on air and we ask people to do the same on phone-ins. We’ve been doing it for so many years, so they trust us."
