Tess Daly paid tribute to her husband Vernon Kay on Friday evening following the final of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

The 51-year-old Strictly Come Dancing host was keen to congratulate her man as he came in third place during the final of the popular ITV show.

Posting a collage of pics of Vernon during his time in Gwrych Castle, Tess gushed about her beau and the father of her two daughters.

The blonde star captioned the sweet post: "LOVE YOU VERN. What a rollercoaster... he went in wanting to make us proud, and he made us beyond proud!!

"He's a winner in our eyes and we're just chuffed to have him home! But that cashmere blanket's going straight in the wash..."

Tess then added: "Huge congratulations to @mrsgifletcher and a massive thank YOU for posting, voting, phoning and cheering him on all the way... the support has been overwhelming, we are stunned and so grateful xxx."

Tess' friends and followers were quick to comment on the post, with her Strictly co-host Claudia Winkleman writing: "He is BRILLIANT."

Former Strictly pro James Jordan added: "He was amazing from day 1.... Rise Sir Lankylot," while Strictly judge Motsi Mabuse simply left several red heart emojis.

Vernon, 46, was in the final alongside Giovanna Fletcher and Jordan North - and took part in an epic final trial to ensure the threesome could enjoy a lavish meal for their final night in camp.

During his exit interview with hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, it was revealed that the presenting duo had spoken to Vernon on the phone ahead of his I'm A Celeb stint.

After looking back at his best bits, Dec said to the Family Fortunes star: “We spoke on the phone two weeks before you went in.

“You were very nervous,” the presenter continued, with Vernon telling the pair it was thanks to them he signed on the dotted line.

“It’s been everything and more. If anyone gets asked to do it, don’t hesitate,” he said as he urged others not to doubt themselves.

“There's something about being in a confined space with 11 strangers which enables you to be yourself,” he explained.

“I think if you become something you're not, you'll be found out. Just got to be yourself, you can’t keep it up.”
