X Factor star Lucy Spraggan has flashed her taut abs and gym-honed body after her stunning weight loss.

The singer, 28, has transformed her body after adopting a healthy lifestyle and has been sober for more than a year.

And she proudly took to Instagram today to share a side-by-side comparison showing how she looks now and before shedding the pounds.

In the throwback snap of herself she is seen reaching for a pizza out of a supermarket fridge while holding a bag of Cheetos crisps.

While in the latest snap she looks happy and healthy as she flaunts her midrift in a white boob tube.

Lucy wrote alongside the snap: "GOOD MORNING MY DEAREST FRIENDS!!

"It's SATURDAY AND I'M EXCITED, MOTIVATED AND READY TO GO."

She also revealed to her 127k fans how she motivates herself to keep fit by weight-lifting before balancing it out with cake.

She wrote: "I tend to relax a lot more on the weekends which can sometimes enable my laziness and unlock my passion for large bars of chocolate, so I remind myself, life is about balance and enjoyment," she explained.

"I'm gonna get my lifters on, get my ass down to the gym and throw around some weights, then I’m going to have an afternoon of lounging and hitting the cake.

The singer said she can still be prone to to binge eating if she 'forgets to include balance in her lifestyle'

"Tomorrow a nice long walk with my friends and all our dogs and a roast dinner."

Lucy also explained that she can still be prone to to binge eating if she "forget to include balance in my lifestyle".

She said: "I used to think 'I'll have this as a treat' and then I'd be really full of guilt and shame about what I'd eaten and I’d eat more to feel better. Then it'd go round in circles.

"I learnt that I am definitely worthy of cake and icecream, fruit and sweets, salad and steak and what I eat doesn't define who I am."

Lucy competed in the 2012 series of X-Factor show and was a front runner to win, but dropped out due to illness half way through.
