Arsenal have fans have revealed their delight after a picture of Calum Chambers back in training emerged.

Chambers has been out of action since December after suffering knee ligament damage against Chelsea.

The England international has been making steady progress, aided by the recent delays, and now appears to be back in training.

A snap on the ‘Gunners’ Reddit page shows him smiling at the training ground, alongside the caption “What a sight!!”.

And the post has gone down a storm with the Emirates Stadium faithful, especially with David Luiz and Pablo Mari set to miss the rest of the season.

Calum Chambers has been heralded by Arsenal fans after returning to training

“I honestly think he's the most under rated player we have,” one replied.

A second added: “Hope he can come back as strong as he finished. Best form of his life for the 12-18 months prior to his injury, was finally realizing his potential.

“Looks great! Most importantly, he looks happy & healthy!” a third put.

“I still dream of seeing him and Robbo playing CB together in the cup,” another reminisced.

While another wrote: “He was performing as our best defender before he went down. I would actually want us to keep him as a backup CB/CDM if we are unable to get anything for him.”

“Always been a big fan of Chambers. Definitely underrated by everybody,” a sixth added. “He was our only worthwhile defender for a few months before his injury. Can put in a effective shift in 3 different positions.”

“Our assist king is back!” exclaimed a seventh.

As an eighth opined: “He put in a shift at RB at some games early in the season. He’s the kind of role player I hope we hold onto.”

Arsenal are back in action this evening against Norwich, but Chambers is unlikely to be available for selection.
