Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang failed to give Arsenal fans an insight into his plans for the future after leading the Gunners to FA Cup glory.

The Arsenal captain scored both goals as they saw off Chelsea 2-1 at Wembley to secure their 14th FA Cup title and a place in next season’s Europa League.

Aubameyang's first strike was a penalty he won after putting Cesar Azpilicueta under serious pressure, before adding his second with a cheeky dink over Willy Caballero.

However, Gunners supporters were no doubt waiting with baited breath to hear if the victory would persuade Aubameyang to stay.

The Gabon international has entered the final 12 months of his contract, but is still the main man for the north London club.

Aubameyang clearly wasn’t in a mood to talk about his future though, giving a blunt response when asked if he could say anything about his next move.

Live on BBC One, he was asked: “Can you tell us anything about your future?”

But he simply replied: “Nothing. Just today and the trophy. That's it!”

Aubameyang, who held his interview alongside a highly emotional Emiliano Martinez, had previously said how much the win means to him and his team-mates.

"We enjoyed today,” he added. “We are so happy. As you can see, Emi [Martinez] is crying. That shows, that winning this game and this trophy makes us so happy.

“We deserved this win. He [Mikel Arteta] did a great job and we are so happy to have him on board.”

Mikel Arteta appeared to be confident that Aubameyang would stay on with the club, insisting he wanted to build his team around his skipper.

The Spaniard said: "He knows what I think about him. I want to build the squad around him. I think he wants to stay and it is just about getting the deal done.

"But I think these moments will help him to realise and believe that we are in the right path and he is a big part of that. He is loved by everybody at the club. Hopefully he can continue with us."
