Arsenal coaches have begun working with William Saliba in training ahead of his first season at the club.
Young centre-back Saliba joined the Gunners last summer for £27m from Saint-Etienne, but returned to his boyhood club for the season on loan.
The 19-year-old is now expected to become a regular for Mikel Arteta after a number of defensive mishaps by his current options.
And Saliba showed his manager and the fans a glimpse of what to expect as he got to work on the training ground.
The France U20 international took part in various drills on Thursday alongside the likes of captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Nicolas Pepe.
Saliba featured during pre-season, and was an unused substitute for the Community Shield.
But Arsenal legend Martin Keown thinks he will play a big role this season - which he thinks comes with an unfair amount of expectation on the teenager.
When asked if there was pressure on Saliba, he told The Independent: "There definitely is.
"It is one of those where I would have been happier if Arsenal had paid more money and brought him in straight at the start of last season.
"There have long-been questions over the Arsenal defence and Saliba was expensive, but he is also young and has not played that many professional games.
"It can’t be expected that he will walk straight into Arsenal, right into the team and be on it from the off."

Arsenal are understood to be looking to sell a number of options they already have at centre-back, having splashed more money on Gabriel Magalhaes.
It’s thought that Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Rob Holding and Calum Chambers are all current up for sale this summer.
Meanwhile, Pablo Mari, David Luiz and Shkodran Mustafi are expected to provide back up for Saliba and Gabriel.
