The Reach Football show returns for a third episode on Wednesday with host Mirror Sport’s Darren Lewis.

Darren is joined by the Daily Mirror’s Chief Football Writer John Cross and Chief Sports Writer Andy Dunn, as well as the Chief Football Writer of the Daily Star, Jeremy Cross, and Football Correspondent of the Daily Express, Matt Dunn.

On this week's episode, the panel discuss the Leicester lockdown, the rise of Manchester United, and why Premier League goalkeepers have been making so many mistakes in a round up of the biggest stories of the last seven days.

The experts also look to what might be in store during the week to come, with focus on the ongoing impact of COVID-19 on professional football, and how the sport might have helped the country.

“The goal itself was a great breakaway but I think it was somewhat overhyped but that is because people wanted to see this resurgence.

“They’ve latched on to the influence of Bruno Fernandes, and I think deep down some people wanted Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to do well because he is one of football’s good guys and it’s good to see him on this run.

In a week where we have had a bit of a lull after Liverpool won the title, that last night was significant, that one goal sort of encapsulated the new enthusiasm and the new optimism around Manchester United.

“So if they can surge into the top four, if they can make it, that will be one of the stories of the final stages of the season.”
