The England international is on Jurgen Klopp’s radar ahead of the summer transfer window.
Despite boasting the most fearsome attacking trio in world football, Klopp is eager to strengthen his options.
Former Premier League striker Jan Aage Fjortoft claims to have intel from a source that Liverpool have doubts over Sancho despite holding a strong interest.
According to Fjortoft, Dortmund are holding out for £126m, which would seriously test the Premier League leaders’ budget.
The ex-Middlesbrough forward wrote on Twitter: “Some Liverpool-news from my source that I met today.
“It’s very likely that Jadon Sancho will leave Dortmund this summer.
“Liverpool still very keen, but have started wondering if they can afford him.
“Dortmund want 126 million pounds!!!”
19-year-old became the youngest player ever in the Bundesliga to reach 25 goals.
He opened the scoring in BVB’s 5-0 win against Union Berlin to make it 12 in 18 games this term. He has also notched 13 assists in the process.
After the game, Sancho wrote on Twitter: “What a performance from the team.
“Happy to make history by being the youngest ever player to score 25 goals in the Bundesliga.”
Sancho joined Dortmund from Manchester City for around £8m in 2017.
He has not looked back contributing 29 goals and 39 assists to become a key man for the German club.
England honours followed, winning 11 caps for his country, with a spot in Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2020 squad expected.
