James Rodriguez has been seen dining at a restaurant in Merseyside as his move to Everton edges closer.
Rodriguez is expected to leave Real Madrid and sign for the Toffees on a three-year deal this summer.
He was seen arriving reportedly for his Everton medical earlier this week with it believed that Real have accepted a fee of £22m for the Colombian.
And Rodriguez, who shone at the 2014 World Cup, posed with restaurant staff at San Carlo after getting some lunch in his potential new city.
He attended the restaurant after visiting Everton’s Finch Farm training ground, having a picture taken outside the eatery.
Rodriguez spent two seasons on loan at Bayern Munich before returning to the Bernabeu last summer.
He made just eight La Liga appearances under Zinedine Zidane though as Real won the title ahead of Barcelona.
Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti has previously spoke of his admiration for Rodriguez, saying in 2019 while in charge of Napoli: “We’re still talking for James, a player that I really like.
“I’m very attached to James, I rate him very highly and he can certainly improve our team.
“He doesn't need to re-announce himself, he’s a great player. But he’s not the only player we’re openly negotiating for. We’re assessing many players."
And the Everton boss also praised him back in June: “James Rodríguez? I like him a lot as a player.

"I have to be honest – I like him a lot. But he is a Real Madrid player and I think he will still be a Real Madrid player.”
