Leeds have identified Gent left-back Milad Mohammadi as a top summer transfer target ahead of their return to the Premier League.
The Whites finally secured a place back in the top flight last month 16 years since they were sent packing to the Championship, with West Brom ’s 2-1 defeat away at Huddersfield confirming their promotion.
Marcelo Bielsa will be determined to strengthen his squad as they prepare to lock horns with the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea next season.
And according to Football Insider , Leeds are eyeing up a deal to sign Mohammadi from Gent this summer.
The 26-year-old has produced a string of impressive displays for Gent this term, meaning he was named in the Jupiler Pro League’s team of the season for the 2019/20 campaign.
Bielsa and co have subsequently pinpointed him as a potential summer recruit, with Gent reportedly demanding around £6.3million for his services.
The news will come as a blow to Leeds star Stuart Dallas, who was Bielsa’s first-choice left-back in their promotion-winning campaign.
Dallas made 41 appearances for Leeds in 2019/20, but the 29-year-old could face a fight for first-team football next term if Mohammadi arrives at Elland Road.
The latter made 24 appearances in all competitions for Gent, helping the Belgian club finish second in their Pro League campaign.
Mohammadi is not the only player being linked with a summer move to Leeds, nonetheless.

Daily Star Sport understands Bielsa and co are also plotting a double swoop for Danny Rose and ex-player Fabian Delph.
Former Leeds striker Noel Whelan has urged his old side to get their hands on Delph in particular, insisting his “experience and quality” would strengthen them.
“He's a great football player is Fabian, he can command and run the show when he's at it and at the peak of his performances,” Whelan said.
“I do worry a little bit that he’s been a little bit injury-plagued this season. If he can manage to get that right and we can have a fit Fabian Delph out there, his experience and quality will no doubt strengthen Leeds United.
“You've got to be questioning is he picking up these injuries for a reason now? That's my only worry but £5million for a player with that amount of ability is a snip.”
