Liverpool fans are not happy with the price of their new home kit.
The Anfield faithful has not only been put off by the lack of imagination in the design, but the price of the strip has also left a bad taste in the mouth.
A ’stadium’ version of the top the players will wear, which is now available for preorder, can be purchased for £69.95 without the shorts and socks, with the official version coming in at just under £100.
One fan said: “How are you charging 100 quid for the jersey an selling basically a fake one for £70 it’s daylight robbery how can you do that.”
A second added: “I actually live in Liverpool and we're being asked to pay £100.... not a chance that's selling well this year!”
A third said: “I knew it was coming out today! Any need why it's £70 though.”
With a fourth adding: “For 99 quid I'd wanna play up front as well.”
In terms of the design, one supporter said: “It’s grown on me but there were so many far more gorgeous concept kits posted on here by people who absolutely and definitely need to be employed by Nike!”
With a second adding: “This is truly awful. Wrong red, looks tacky.”
A third said: “Bland, lacking imagination. So disappointing.”
And a fourth concluding: “Why is it that homemade concepts looked better than this !! What were they doing at Nike?"

The Reds will wear Nike from the 2020/21 season after former kit supplier New Balance missed out on the chance to extend their own deal with the club in a lengthy court case.
Newly appointed CEO Billy Hogan expressed his delight when the deal was announced in January, predicting an incredible partnership with the world famous brand.
He said: “Our iconic kit is a key part of our history and identity.
“We welcome Nike into the LFC family as our new official kit supplier and expect them to be an incredible partner for the club, both at home and globally as we continue to expand our fanbase.
“As a brand, Nike reflects our ambitions for growth, and we look forward to working with them to bring fans new and exciting products.”
