Blackburn are interested in signing Harvey Elliott on loan.

The Championship club want to give the Liverpool midfielder first-team football for the rest of the season.

Elliott, 17, may have to be convinced to make the loan move to Ewood Park.
But there is a feeling that the stint at Blackburn could benefit the winger and the Reds are open to negotiations.

Liverpool signed Elliott from Fulham last summer and he featured last season in the cup competitions as well as two substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Reds.

But his first-team opportunities are going to be severely limited this term given Jurgen Klopp's options.

Elliott is wanted on a loan deal by Blackburn Rovers

Liverpool brought in Diogo Jota from Wolves before the transfer deadline.

They also have Divock Origi, Takumi Minamino and Xherdan Shaqiri vying for chances in the front three.

While further back in midfield Klopp is also well covered.

Elliott has only made one appearance this season and it came in the Carabao Cup

Elliott is considered a bright prospect at the club but he will need to play to further his development.

Liverpool have yet to agree a compensation package with Fulham for the winger which is now likely to end up at a tribunal.

Ben Woodburn has left Anfield today to go on loan to Blackpool until the end of the season.
