Liverpool fans have offered a cheeky Mohamed Salah replacement after one of their stars showed off his skills in training.

The Reds will be without the Egyptian for three games after he tested positive on Egypt duty.

His first game out is a huge Premier League clash against leaders Leicester, who have matched their 18 goals scored in eight games.

Eight of those goals have come from Salah – but footage has emerged of another player showing off their quick feet in training.

In the clip, goalkeeper Alisson – who has only has one clean sheet in the league this season – is on the training ground at Kirkby.

A high ball is floated to the Brazilian goalkeeper and he moves forward to take it under control.

But he takes the chance to do some showboating, using the inside of his right boot wrapped around the left for a first touch.

This takes the pace off the ball, letting it bounce in front of Alisson so he can drill it back down the pitch.

The clip was shared on the Reds’ official Instagram channel, where it has been seen thousands of times within two hours.

And the Anfield faithful were full of praise for their shot-stopper showing off his skills

“The composure on the lad is unreal,” one supporter said.

Another commented: “Alisson is on fire.”

While a third suggested that he should be used to fill the gap left by Salah, with: “We can play him in midfield.”

And fans suggested that the Brazilian should take Salah's place in the starting line-up's attack

And a fourth added: “Let’s replace Salah.”

A fifth suggesting placing Alisson a bit closer to him, writing on Instagram: “Out new centre-back.”

With a final fan simply writing: “He can play as a midfielder is he wants.”

Salah will also miss the Reds’ Champions League game against Atalanta and the south-coast trip to Brighton.

But Jurgen Klopp has given fans encouragement over Salah’s fitness despite the Covid-19 tests.
