Noel Gallagher has aimed a dig at Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson.
That individual honour has brought up plenty of debate from former players and also fans, with Gallagher comparing him to David Silva with a laugh.
The Manchester City legend is set to leave the club when their Champions League campaign comes to an end, and he will departure with four Premier League titles to his name.
Gallagher told talkSPORT when asked about the departure of Silva: “It’s a bad day, it’s a dark day.
“I remember his debut, which was away to Tottenham, and if Joe Hart hadn’t had the game of his life we would have got beaten about 6-0 and in the press conference afterwards Harry Redknapp, bless him, was a little bit kind of like ‘oh they paid £38million for this guy, he doesn’t look like a £38m footballer.’
“We were stood watching him and you could see he was something special.
“For him to play ten years in the Premier League, I don’t think he’s ever done an interview with a national newspaper or anything like that – nobody knows a great deal about him.”
Silva has not won the FWA Footballer of the Year award during his fantastic 10 seasons in England, which is something that has amused Gallagher.
He added: “He’s [Silva’s] won one award in ten years, I think he won Player of the Month once! He’s been in team of the season twice or something.
“You know, he’s no Jordan Henderson!
“I think he was so sublime that you almost didn’t notice that he was playing. But he will be sorely missed at that club, he’ll never be replaced. I wouldn’t be surprised if they retired his jersey actually.”

City boss Pep Guardiola had said after Henderson’s award: “ I think Kevin De Bruyne speaks for himself what he gives to our team. It’s not necessary to say how fantastic Kevin is.
“At the same time, congratulations to the captain at Liverpool. He’s a really good player.”
