Plenty of Manchester United fans are not happy with the way goalkeeper Sergio Romero has been treated this season.
The Argentine, who has been a regular in cup competitions over the years, wanted to leave Old Trafford this summer with Everton having been interested.
A move was reportedly blocked by the Red Devils with Romero now being left out of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Premier League squad.
David de Gea and Dean Henderson were certainties in the squad though the third goalkeeping slot has been filled by Lee Grant.
And with Romero now set to not feature at all, United fans are disappointed with the way their club has treated the 33-year-old.
One posted on social media following the announcement of the Prem squad: “Romero doesn't deserve this type of treatment. Should have sold him.”
While another wrote: “Can’t believe we treated Romero this way. Has been nothing but loyal and solid. Then again, it’s United.”
And a third simply commented: “Romero deserves so much better”.
In a similar vein, another added: “The way United is treating Romero is totally unfair!!”
With one more putting: “I don’t like what United did to Romero. Very disrespectful.”
The outrage didn’t stop there with another United fan writing: “The way Man Utd treated & disrespected Romero is unbelievable.”
And one more posting: “I don’t like this at all, Romero has been a loyal servant of the club. Even with limited game time his commitment never wavered yet still United can’t find the decency to treat him with respect.”

Another moaned: “They did Romero dirty one of the best backup goalkeeper we had in years.”
While a fourth commented: “Wrong to treat Romero in this way nothing but a loyal servant doesn’t deserve to be discarded in this way.”
Romero has also been left out of the Champions League squad with United beginning their European campaign against PSG tonight.
