Moises Caicedo appears to have dropped a transfer hint after liking a recent post on Manchester United’s Instagram.
Caicedo is being strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford this month as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer continues to talent world class youngsters.
It is thought he will cost United around £4.5m after bursting onto the scene over the last 18 months at Independiente del Valle.
Caicedo is known to be a fan of the Red Devils, which will no doubt help their plight to snap up the teenager.
There are conflicting reports about whether a deal will in fact go ahead though.
It was claimed in his native Ecuador claimed that a transfer was ‘all agreed’ with just ‘legal issues’ to sort before a deal could be completed.
However, El Diario insist that Independiente del Valle have not agreed to sell Caicedo this month.
Moreover, they have upped the asking price to more than the initial £4.5m figure which it was accepted had been slapped on Caicedo’s head.
One thing remains certain though, Caicedo is still a United fan, and showed his allegiance by liking a recent Instagram post of Paul Pogba on the club’s account.
The video was a TikTok of midfielder Paul Pogba, which reads: “Control so good we had to watch it twice.”
Caicedo has recently spoken about being thrown into the spotlight, admitting he was not expecting so much attention at this stage of his career.
“It is very nice to be asked to interview,” he said. “I did not think I’d grow up so fast.
“I make a lot of effort and I think journalists also notice that when interviewing me.”
