The cardboard sign in question could be seen in a local garden during Spurs’ win over Marine in the third round of the FA Cup, and it left many of those watching at home feeling amused.
Mourinho’s men ran out 5-0 winners following a first-half treble from Carlos Vinicius, but the message that snubbed him for his rival boss might not have been as enjoyable.
The message read: “Well hello Jose. Due to unforeseen circumstances - I’m single and ready to mingle, have you got Jurgen’s number?”
The sign was not the first reference to the Liverpool boss on the evening, with another local bringing along a cardboard cutout of the Premier League and Champions League winning boss.
Despite those jokes, Mourinho would have been left more than satisfied about the scoreline.
Alan Shearer said on BBC One: "Well done to both teams, it's been a very good weekend for Marine for obvious reasons.
“They were very professional, they tried to make it very difficult for Tottenham in the the first 20 minutes.
“But the quality shone through and Jose Mourinho had his players fired up with the right attitude.
Goalscorer Lucas Moura said after the game: "Today was a different day, new for us to play against them.
“We came here with big respect and a mentality to win and go to the next round. I think we did well."
Adding of his strike: "It was a good free-kick. Not easy because they are very tall.
"I am very happy for my friend Vinny! (Carlos Vinicius). He is improving his English, I am helping him. I am very happy for him because he works very hard every day and deserves it."
