Recent reports suggest Antonio Conte is keen to be reunited with the French midfielder, who he signed from Leicester City when he was Blues boss.
Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva, Timo Werner, and Hakim Ziyech have all arrived so far, while Malang Sarr and Xavier Mbuyamba are ones to watch for the future.
But Frank Lampard is not done yet and next on the wish list is Kai Havertz, who is believed to be close to a club-record £90million move from Bayer Leverkusen.
There have been suggestions that the Blues may have to sell some players before they can buy any more, and World Cup winner Kante is one name being mentioned.
The 29-year-old is still an important part of Chelsea’s midfield but he has struggled with injuries of late and so has not been all that reliable.
But, according to Goal , Kante is happy where he is and will not be forcing a move to reunited with Conte at the San Siro.
The report does add that while the midfielder is settled in west London, a substantial offer could tempt Chelsea into selling him.
It was reported earlier this week that the Blues will demand at least £80m to sell Kante and this amount would be too much for Inter to shell out.
Conte is also said to be interested in Emerson Palmieri and Olivier Giroud, both of whom would be more realistic targets than Kante, as they fight for their places in Lampard’s first team.
Giroud only signed a new contract at Chelsea in May, keeping him at the club until next summer, but he could still be tempted to leave given the competition with Werner and Tammy Abraham up front.
Emerson found Premier League appearances hard to come by last season and is now having to battle with Chilwell, as well as Marcos Alonso for the left-back spot.
