Roy Keane has slammed the current form of Manchester City defender Kyle Walker.
Although Micah Richards has insisted that the England intentional has had a good start to the new Premier League season, he was clearly at fault for one particular incident in the first-half of Sunday’s clash.
Liverpool star Mohamed Salah handed his side the lead from the spot after Walker was adjudged to have taken down Sadio Mane inside the box by Craig Pawson, before Gabriel Jesus equalised.
Keane was less than impressed, and his assessment of the full-back shocked supporters.
When asked how Mane won the penalty on Sky Sports, Keane said: ”Because he's up against an idiot.
"Kyle Walker, people keep telling me he's playing well. I don't think so.
"I think this guy, he's 30 years of age, international player, he's a car crash.
"Keeps making these types of mistakes and rightly punished for it."
To which Richards replied: "He's been in good form and I think Roy's taking it a little bit overboard there.
"He's been one of City's best players, but he gambles there on Mane. He should've just waited.
"He gambled that he's going outside, and before you know it Mane was there and he took him down."
Guardiola said of his defender in October: “It was an incredible signing for Man City.
“I want to thank the club for bringing him here.
“Today top players are the ones who can play every three days. Before you sign a player, you have to look at his ability to play and play and play - the regeneration capability.
“Kyle is an example of that. I have a feeling this is the Kyle we have seen.”
