A club-record buy when the Hammers signed him from Lazio in 2018, Brazil forward Anderson is no longer in the club’s plans.

The 27-year-old is one of the club’s highest earners but is yet to start a Premier League game this season and will now try to resurrect his career in Portugal.

Moyes wants to target young, hungry, homegrown players in those two positions after a disappointing window so far.

West Ham also have a long-standing interest in Brentford winger Said Benrahma but he would eat up most of their budget.
