The UK theme park Chessington World of Adventures has announced that it will open two new attractions this year.
Joining the 10 other lands at the theme park will be the Rainforest.
This adventure-packed land lets families explore the rainforest by road on the ride Jungle Rangers or on the river at the mini-log flume ride River Rafts.
For those who aren’t afraid of heights Treetop Hoppers lets you explore the tree canopy while spotting creatures great and small including tortoises and capybaras.
All of the Rainforest land rides will be educational, aimed at teaching young adventure-seekers about our rainforests and the need to protect them.
The installation was inspired by Chessington’s work with the conservation charity World Land Trust (WLT).
Also coming to Chessington in 2020 is Elmer’s Flying Jumbos - an aerial carousel ride based on everyones favourite patchwork elephant Elmer.
The park’s young guests can choose their favourite coloured elephant and soar over the rainforest experiencing great views of the park.
The new land will be opening in March 2020 where it will join the theme park’s other lands.
Highlights of Chessington include Land of the Dragons, where kids can play in the Dragon’s Playhouse or soar through the sky on the Dragon’s Fury rollercoaster.
If you’re a thrill-seeker then head over to the Tomb Blaster in the Forbidden Kingdom - an Egyptian mummy themed labyrinth ride which is warned to be “a dark and scary ride”.
Little ones will enjoy Adventure Point, especially if they’re fans of Julia Donaldson’s Room on the Broom!
Elsewhere in the park, children and adults alike can get to know different animals at the Chessington zoo which homes over 1,000 animals including Lions, Tiers and Giraffes or the sea life centre.
Save money by booking your tickets to the park online in advance, where they cost £29.50
