Beat The Chasers returned to our screens on Thursday night and one contetestant took on the team of quiz champions in a bid to win a whooping £100,000.
Samantha from Bedfordshire informed Bradley Walsh that she was a member of The Quiz League of London, but was not the same level as the Chasers.
She only managed to win disappointing £1,000 in the cash builder round but remained positive as she went onto the head-to-head round.
The player was offered a whooping £100,000 to take on all five Chasers; Mark Labbett, Anne Hegerty, Jenny Ryan, Shaun Wallace and Paul Sinha.
She decided to take the gamble but didn't manage to Beat The Chasers, leaving viewers feeling gutted.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: "
Another added: "100 Grand She got 2 wrong so unlucky Samantha."
A third person said: "Shame Samantha didn't cap it off for £100k."
While a fourth viewer wrote: "I’m gutted for Samantha! I wanted her to win!"
Mark "The Beast" Labbett told Samantha: "Well I've got to say I think my colleagues have wet their pants over the initials QLL - I don't rate you at all.
"So let's put my money where my mouth is, we want just 45 seconds on our clock and £100,000 says you can't beat us."
Anne Hegerty, aka The Governess, said: "You just handed her this game."
Mark then took a swipe at the contestant saying that she was "no good".
He said: "I can beat her on my own let alone with you guys helping."
Host Bradley added: "Hang on, hang on, woah. So you've given us back a 15 second time advantage, okay.
"You can afford to get four questions wrong there for £100,000 against all five."
Anne quipped: "Well you're certainly not taking on four are you?"
Samantha made her decision and told Bradley: "Do you know what? I'm going to go for the five."
The presenter replied: "It's an absolute no-brainer" before continuing the game.
Samantha tried her best but the five Chasers caught her with seconds remaining on the clock.
Beat The Chasers continues on ITV on Friday at 9pm
