Bradley Walsh: Breaking Dad was dropped from ITV's schedule tonight.
The Chase presenter Bradley Walsh saw the new series of his popular ITV show, Bradley and Barney Walsh: Breaking Dad pushed back to next week in a scheduling shake-up.
The new series, which follows the adventures of Bradley and his son Barney, was slated to air on ITV at 8pm tonight.
But ITV has pushed it back to January 11 so that they could air the Prime Minister's important broadcast about the latest coronavirus pandemic measures.
During the speech, Prime Minister Boris Johnson confirmed that the the UK will be plunged into a third lockdown.
Taking to Twitter ahead of Boris Johnson's announcement, ITV's official account tweeted: "Schedule change Bradley & Barney Walsh: Breaking Dad will now start at 8pm Monday 11th January."
Some ITV viewers, who were excited to see the return of Bradley and Barney Walsh: Breaking Dad took to the comments section to share their disappointment about the scheduling shake-up.
One disgruntled viewer penned: "What is the point of televising Boris Johnson's speech? Nobody's listening to him by now, so I'd just carry on as normal."
While another continued: "Was looking forward to this tonight."
However, a third joked: "Something good has come out of this announcement then."
Bradley, 60, recently broke down in tears during a special episode of Bradley and Barney Walsh: Breaking Dad, as he looked back at some of the key moments on the programme.
As he watched he and Barney, 23, jump out of a plane on the programme, the star was overcome with emotion.
Speaking to camera, Bradley said: "That’s very emotional, isn’t it?
"Watching that back and seeing you jump out the plane…
"You only see my arm jolt, but I thought I’d made a massive lunge to grab hold of you to stop you running out in front of a car.”
He added about the tandem sky-dive: "I was so scared, I was so scared."
