The model, who caused a stir by splitting from professional skating partner Hamish Gaman part-way through the series, confirmed she will not appear in the reason of the season.
In a statement, a rep for the 48-year-old told Mirror Online: "It’s true that Caprice is no longer participating in Dancing On Ice.
"It’s been a hard few months and she’s had to keep silent for contractual reasons."
Her spokeswoman continued: "Her mental wellbeing has been affected over the last two months and recent stories leaked to the press are not only salacious but extremely hurtful.
"Now she’s taking some time to recover and look after herself and her family."
The confirmed comes after a source also told Daily Star yesterday that Caprice was pulling out of the show "for the sake of her mental health".
They also claimed she was upset by "vicious rumours" since she split from pro partner Hamish, 36.
The insider said "broken" Caprice had told ITV that she would not be dancing again.
They told Daily Star: "She’s a strong woman, but when her kids are coming home from school upset because other kids are repeating lies about their mum, it’s hard not to let it affect you.
"She’s a loyal friend and is always the first to offer her help. It’s been so hurtful reading all the rubbish that’s being said about her."
Last month, Dancing On Ice host Holly Willoughby was seen telling viewers that Caprice and Hamish had "parted ways" however no further explanation was given.
Hamish spoke out about the drama on Friday, telling his Instagram followers: "I’m comforted knowing the truth always comes out in the end."
Dancing On Ice airs tonight on ITV at 7pm
