One tweeted: "Holly’s having a day off? She has Friday, Saturday, Sunday off every week and every school holiday. Why not just say somethings going on she’s got personal reasons?? What other reason would she be off 2 days on the bounce? Hope she's ok?!"

"Something they aren’t telling us about Holly. I hope she's ok", penned another viewer watching the ITV programme.

Holly has been absent from This Morning for two days running

Yesterday, presenter Alison Hammond replaced Holly and hosted the show with Phillip, amid reports she's taking Ruth Langford's place on Friday episodes of This Morning.

It's been claimed Ruth and her husband Eamonn Holmes have been axed from their Friday slot, and are being replaced by Alison and Dermot O'Leary.

ITV reportedly shut down rumours that they had sacked Ruth and Eamonn from the show.
