Coffee company operations manager Charlotte says she is looking to fall for a complete stranger on new ITV dating show, The Cabins.

The 29-year-old from Stafford says modern dating has proved to be a complete failure for her as apps give away too much, and she doesn’t match with anyone.

She is taking part in ITV’s brand new dating show which sees singletons meet and move in together in romantic cabins within the UK countryside.

Viewers will watch to see if the pair fall for one another over their first 24 hours, or whether they want to call it a day, as they look for love amid a log cabin setting complete with a hot tub.

Charlotte is looking for love on The Cabins

Asked why she is taking part in the show, Charlotte said: “I’ve been single for about a year. Having no luck meeting anybody on dating apps. I just thought, I want to meet somebody who doesn’t know anything about me. Has no preconceived ideas, doesn’t know what to expect.”

Charlotte says her friends would say she is too “picky” as the reason she’s currently single, but she has been in serious relationships before.

She said: “I just feel like I meet people and they’re a certain way for like a month and then they just change completely and it’s not fun anymore.

“I was engaged to a guy, so I feel like I’ve been through so much crap that I don’t want to take that again.

Charlotte has not had luck on dating apps but hopes to find love on TV

“So if I see a red flag, I’ll just call things off straight away. I’d rather wait and keep looking for the best person than settle with anybody who could be good for me. I want someone who could be amazing for me.”

Having recently started dating women, Charlotte hopes to find the right girl on The Cabins.

She said: “I’ve only been dating women for about 18 months. I feel like I’m still learning my type. I definitely like the more alternative girls. Tattoos, piercings... and more tomboy than really girly.

“Jennifer Lawrence [is my celebrity crush]. She’s so witty and quick. She’s attractive anyway, but she becomes so much more attractive because her personality is just hilarious.”

Asked if she is anxious to meet a new date and spend an entire day together in front of cameras, Charlotte said: “[I’m] nervous and excited at the same time. I’m excited that I can’t hide anything from her.

“She’s going to get all of me in a short amount of time. I’m excited there’s going to be no surprises further down the line when I start sleep walking etc... although I don’t actually do that.”

Asked what kind of woman she wants to meet, Charlotte said: “Someone that can make me smile, make me laugh and make me feel safe.

“Someone that I don’t question, at night, whether they like me. You know when you go to bed and you know that they like you? That’s kind of what I’m looking for.”

The Cabins starts Monday January 4th at 9pm on ITV2
