The Chase fans took to Twitter to share their fury for an "unfair" question during Thursday's episode.
A contestant named Stephen had played incredibly well in his cash-builder, racking up an impressive £7k.
He took chaser Anne Hegerty's higher offer of £30k, but a question about the moon led to him being caught by The Governess.
The question was asking "how many people have made it to the moon", and Stephen answered "12".
They didn't accept the answer due to 12 being the number of people who have "walked on the moon".
One raged: "How many people have "made it to the moon"?... is such a vague question - only 12 people have walked on it and he knew that! Not fair! I'm grumpy especially as he was caught."
While another wrote: "Not unfair at all. They need to read and understand the questions better ffs! #TheChase."
A third added: "Dodgy question, that. #TheChase."
"I thought that was an unfair question. I thought it would be walked on the moon too", moaned another.
And a fifth penned: "#thechase WTF is that for a question!"
After the controversial moon question, Stephen's losing streak continued and he was eventually beaten by Anne and sent home.
Hegerty was on top form during the iconic quiz show, leaving just one contestant playing in the final chase.
Charlie stepped up to the challenge, playing to hopefully win £3,000.
Unfortunately, the contestant only managed gain a five step lead.
Quizzing legend Anne caught him in just 20 seconds.
The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
